MANISH KUMAR

About The Artist

Manish Kumar was born in 1975 in New Delhi (India). From childhood he showed keen interest in painting and started wielding his brush at a very early age. Academically he pursued his love for art and obtained a bachelor degree from College of Art (Delhi) and also studied at Madhav Mahavidyalaya for his masters. He also learnt photography from renowned photographer Mr T Kashinath. Besides he is very well versed and accomplished computer graphic and motion designer. 

 

Manish’s passion for art and painting is to manifest inner sensibilities of human being and environment around him. He has a special flair for figurative surrealistic works and also portrays symbols along with hint of abstraction.  

 

Lately his work is concentrated on exploring inner peace, happiness & self-introspection, contemporary obsession with sex and desire, race and humans, time and inner conflicts. He likes to experiment with different mediums like oils, acrylics, and ceramics, murals, sculptures, illustrations, and photography, video and digital arts. 

 

For him “only skill is not only important in art but the synchronization of hands, eyes, mind and soul should be able to perform in unison for expression of thoughts on canvas.”

 

Manish has participated in many symposiums, art camps and exhibitions in India and abroad and has received many awards and laurels for his works. He currently lives and works in NCR region of Delhi.
