Artist's Statement

From Childhood I have been impacted by experiences which fascinated me to portray them on surface, and were the seed for my vocation as an artist. My works are based on study of human beings and aspects of humanism that touch, move and inspire. In my earlier works I used figurative, surreal imagery mixed with symbols which explores Thoughts and Inner Conflicts, Life and Time, Obsessions and Desires. I like to work across various mediums of visual arts.

Lately there is an urge within me to express and convey on the canvas to the viewer to inspire and enroll him for his liberation and understanding of self. My artworks are about evolving consciousness in human beings. With the understanding and enhanced consciousness of self, I feel we can transform the world towards peace, tranquility, inner happiness, love towards fellow beings and harmony with environment.

As an artist, I love to interact and understand different cultures, religions, ancient practices, beliefs and associated art forms and transform the meditative essence of the experiences on the canvas for upliftment of consciousness of the humanity.
